Sterling roses may look the same as lavender roses, but they are not the same. Sterling roses are a much lighter lavender, almost pale white lavender color. This is what gives this beautiful rose its sterling silver color. Sterling roses have a sweet fragrance smell and for the most part are thorn-less. This rose is considered very rare. True sterling roses are not easily found at flower shops. Many flower shops say they sell sterling roses, but what they are selling are common lavender roses.
It’s the same with love. True love is special and authentic-different. It never wavers. It stands the test of time; considering today is Valentine’s Day what better way to celebrate it than with a sonnet written by: William Shakespeare.
By: William Shakespeare
Let me not to the marriage of true minds Admit impediments. Love is not love Which alters when it alteration finds, Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark That looks on tempests and is never shaken; It is the star to every wand’ring bark, Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks Within his bending sickle’s compass come; Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks, But bears it out even to the edge of doom:
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
